On October 9 is the most important day of Valencia, in which Valencia welcomes the entry of King James I in the city. All events held throughout the day are made in the presence of Senyera Reial, the flag of Valencia, which each year (since 1365) is lowered from the balcony of the City, because according to tradition can not be tilted to anyone.
From City of Valencia began a procession to the Cathedral. There he held a “Te Deum”, to then reach the Parterre where, before the statue of King Jaime, is made an offering of laurel wreaths. At the end of the ceremony the Senyera is transferred back to the Historical Museum.

12.00: Lowering the Real Senyera from Municipal Balcony, and start of the civic procession. After finishing the procession, Mascletà in the Town Hall Square by Marti pyrotechnics.
16.00: In the Plaza de la Virgen Dansa festival popular then Vals, Music and Cançons Valencia.
17.00: Check-Christian VII and Mora Valencia City. From Peace Street to City Hall and end at Marqués de Sotelo.
