Christmas in Valencia – Day of the Holy Innocents, jokes and solidarity

Día de los inocentesDecember 28 is celebrated in Spain on Day of the Holy Innocents, a day in which everyone, young and old, they become suspicious because they can be the innocent soul that can be the subject of a prank by his friends.

The story behind the Day of the Holy Innocents is religious and is based on the story of the Bible that tells when King Herod heard the news that the new King of Israel was born (Jesus), and immediately ordered the killing of all children under age two in Bethlehem and its surrounding villages. The name given to this day, Day of the Holy Innocents, fits perfectly for all the innocent lives that were lost that night.

In recent years also organizes different events with a single mission: to help underprivileged children. If that’s your aim, this year has just a night out to do as several nightclubs in Valencia cooperate with the House of Charity of Valencia in an act of solidarity organized by the Association of producers and DJ of the Valencian Community, Solidarity Deejays .

Tonight several nightclubs in Valencia, Mya, El Club de l’Umbracle, Noise, 30-something, 80 and pop and Moon, allow entry to their rooms in exchange for a bottle of oil to be donated to the House of Charity Valencia, as it is one of the most needy nonperishable products.

This event combines a charitable initiative with one of the most legendary party nights each year, on December 28. These are times of solidarity and Valencia participates.
